1. Seasons: Tailoring Your Adventure:

Our adventure park is open year-round, offering different experiences based on the season:

  • High Season: From December 16th to April 30th and July 1st to August 31st, immerse yourself in the bustling energy of peak times.
  • Low Season: From May 1st to June 30th and September 1st to December 15th, enjoy a more tranquil ambiance.

2. Rates: Transparency in Pricing:

  • Transparency is our commitment. Here's how we handle rates:
  • Rates displayed exclude taxes and fees. The final price will be revealed during the checkout process.
  • When you make a booking, you agree to pay the total Tour Experience cost, including applicable taxes and charges.
  • If you encounter errors or misprints in pricing, rest assured, they will not bind you. We'll promptly address such cases.

3. Categories: Ensuring Inclusivity:

We embrace diversity in age and residency:

  • Adult: Defined as 13 years old and above.
  • Child: Designed for young adventurers aged 5 to 12.
  • Costa Rican Resident: If you're a resident, please provide a valid ID upon check-in to enjoy resident-exclusive benefits.

4. Private Tours: Tailored Adventures:

Enhance your experience with personalized private tours. For certain activities, additional guides are required:

  • Zip-line: For an enhanced experience, an exclusive guide is available for an additional fee of $50
  • Horseback Riding: Elevate your horseback adventure with an extra guide, available at a fee of $150.

5. Transportation Service: Seamlessly Arrive and Depart:

Navigating transportation is hassle-free:

  • Transportation is included in your booking
  • During booking, you can opt for transportation and specify your hotel for pickup. Our team will be ready to welcome you.
  • In case your hotel isn't listed, don't worry; reach out to us at info@arenalmundoaventura.com or WhatsApp +506 for assistance.
  • Local transportation is available within an approximately 6-mile radius of La Fortuna (please check the approved pick-up list)
  • Kindly note, we DO NOT provide transportation outside these defined areas.
  • Our published transportation service rate covers both pick-up and drop-off.
  • Our drivers wait 5 minutes after the designated pick-up time; afterward, it's considered a No Show (please refer to our No Show policies).
  • Families with young children, rest assured we provide booster seats as mandated by local transit laws.
  • Our transportation services have scheduled departures from the park to hotels at specific times. To ensure you don't miss out, be at the reception on time for pick-up.
  • If your pickup location isn't listed, an additional fee applies, which should be paid in advance.
  • Transportation services are subject to a fee for children from 3 years old and above.

6. Payments: Your Booking Process:

A seamless payment process is key to an exceptional experience:

  • Upon booking, a hold is placed on your credit card to check availability for your selected date and time.
  • Once availability is confirmed, the hold converts to a charge.
  • All bookings require upfront payment through our website. In special cases, we may send an encrypted official payment link to your provided email address.+
  • Adding extra services to your original booking is easy; with your authorization, we can charge the additional amount to the credit card information we have on file from your initial order.
  • If you book a Travel Experience with upfront payment, be mindful of timely payment. Failure to pay on the specified date may result in cancellation. Ensure your card details are accurate and sufficient funds are available.

7. Modifications & Cancellations: Flexibility Matters:

We understand plans can change. Here's our policy:

  • Enjoy flexibility with a 100% refund if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours before the tour date for FITs and 72 hours for groups (9+ pax). Kindly send cancellation requests to info@arenalmundoaventura.com
  • Modify tour dates or schedules with ease: Individuals can make changes up to 24 hours before, and groups (9+) have a window of 72 hours before the tour time. This is, of course, based on availability and no seasonal price changes. Categories:
    • a. On Time: Punctuality is Rewarded.

      Arriving on time ensures a smooth experience. No penalties apply for being punctual.

    • b. Delays: When Timing Takes a Turn.

      Unexpected delays? Don't worry. If you believe you won't make it on time, communicate with us promptly. We grant a 15-minute grace period for you to join your original group if you're running late. If your tour involves transportation, a 5-minute wait is granted at the pickup location. If you can't make it within the stipulated grace period, options differ based on the season:

      • High Season: Solutions for Setbacks
        • At the park: Should an unforeseen circumstance arise, and you can provide evidence (like a photo or medical receipt), you can enjoy a 50% discount on a new booking, subject to updated availability. Without proof, the discount won't apply.
        • At the pickup location: Strive to reach the park at your tour's scheduled time. We'll still provide transportation back to your hotel.
      • Low Season: Navigating Delays
        • At the park: We offer the option to reschedule for the same or the following day, depending on availability. Alternatively, you're eligible for a 50% refund if rescheduling isn't possible.
        • At the pickup location: If you anticipate a delay, reaching the park for your original tour time is encouraged. You also can reschedule the tour for a different time, making your way to the park based on our current availability. In this case, transportation back to your hotel is assured.
    • c. No Show: Communication is Key
      • Unexpected situations happen, but we appreciate communication. If you miss your reservation without notifying us before the tour time, this incurs a 100% penalty.

8. Refunds: Ensuring Fairness

  • Our thrilling zip lines offer stunning views from heights of up to 390 feet. However, if acrophobia keeps you from joining the tour or if you violate any tour restrictions or requirements, refunds won't be provided.

  • Approved refunds typically take about 15 days. Rest assured, we'll notify you via email once the process is completed.

9. Disputes: Navigating Complexities

  • Disputes can arise, impacting future bookings. A booking undergoing a dispute may lose the right to reschedule and to be refunded.
  • If a refund process is already initiated, and a dispute arises regarding the same booking, the refund process will be halted. If the client loses the dispute, the refund cannot be reinstated.
  • Refund processes typically take around 15 days. We'll ensure you're informed via email when the process concludes.

10. Tours Recommendations & Restrictions

  • We're a nature sanctuary, so pets are not allowed within our premises.
  • Our parks feature convenient restaurants, ensuring you're well-fed during your adventure. Choose from a range of options, including typical Costa Rican dishes, vegetarian and vegan choices, coffee, beer, and more.
  • Safety is paramount; firearms are prohibited on our premises.
  • To preserve the tranquility of our parks, drones are not permitted.

  • a. The Main Building and Open Spaces
    • Safety is our priority. A responsible adult must accompany underage visitors.
    • Adults in charge of minors must ensure their safety throughout the park.
  • b. Zip-lines
    • To ensure an optimal experience, a minimum of 2 participants are required for each scheduled tour.
    • Children as young as 5 years old can participate, provided they meet the height requirement of 115 cm (approximately 3.8 feet).
    • For safety reasons, the maximum weight allowed is 228 pounds.
    • Ages 5 and up can participate as long as the harness can be properly adjusted.
    • Guides may allow children under 10+ to travel solo on the cables if conditions permit. Otherwise, a guide will accompany them.
    • Safety areas are designated on platforms; responsible adults and guides must ensure children stay within these areas.
    • Guides can suspend activities for visibly nervous or fearful children.++

    • Just like with AMA Extreme, a minimum of 2 participants is needed for each scheduled tour.
    • The minimum age is 5 years old.

    We recommend wearing long pants, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sunblock, and a swimsuit if you're planning to visit the waterfall. Please note that pregnant women, individuals with heart problems, back issues, or recent surgeries are advised against participating in certain adventurous activities.

10. About the Weather:

  • Costa Rica boasts two distinct seasons: the rainy season from May to November and the dry season from December to April. Our park is situated in the breathtaking mountains of Costa Rica, where the weather can vary significantly between seasons. Rest assured, our tours are designed to maximize your experience, regardless of weather fluctuations.
  • Rain or shine, our tours operate. In case of rain, tours continue as planned, offering a unique perspective of our parks. If we decide to cancel due to extreme conditions, you're eligible to reschedule. High-season policies vary; tours operate normally in the rain, and refusal to participate won't warrant a refund. In low season, you can reschedule within 24 hours of the original tour time
  • In cases where we cancel a tour, rescheduling is possible. If rescheduling isn't feasible, you can request a refund by emailing info@arenalmundoaventura.com
  • Please be aware that the refund process typically takes around 15 days, and you'll be notified via email upon completion.

11. Insurance: Your Safety is Our Priority:

  • Safety is paramount, and we prioritize your well-being. Our clients are covered by our comprehensive insurance, ensuring protection in case of accidents or unexpected events.
  • In the event of an accident, you have the option to decline medical care. In such cases, we'll ask you to sign a form indicating your decision. If you choose not to sign, we'll assume you've opted out of Arenal Mundo Aventura insurance.
  • For minors, a parent or guardian must sign the Tour Waiver. (Release and insurance in English)

  • For expedited assistance, provide your Booking ID, contact details, and the email address used for booking.
  • Include a summary of the issue and your preferred resolution.

  • Cooperate with anti-fraud and anti-money laundering checks.
  • Use the platform for legitimate bookings, avoiding misuse.
  • Engage in appropriate conduct towards Arenal Mundo Aventura personnel.
  • If you make a booking, you're responsible for everyone's behavior in your group during the Tour Experience. Please obtain their consent before sharing their data.
